Privacy statement

This website collects almost nothing. It sets no cookies, it carries no analytics and no tracking of any kind, and its fonts and images are served from its own domain, so visiting a page does not make a request to anyone else. There is nothing here to consent to.

What is recorded, and why

Server logs. The hosting provider records an entry for every request: your IP address, the time, the page you asked for, the status of the answer, your browser’s user-agent string and the page you came from. This is how a web server works, and it is what makes it possible to see that the site is up and to notice an attack. The legal basis is legitimate interest: running and securing the site.

These logs live with the hosting provider, TransIP, in the Netherlands. TransIP acts as a processor on my behalf.

What you send me. If you email, call or connect on LinkedIn, I have whatever you chose to tell me: your name, your address details, and what the conversation was about. I use it to answer you and, if it becomes work, to carry out the engagement. The legal basis is your own request, and the agreement if there is one.

Who else sees it

Nobody, beyond the hosting provider described above. Nothing on this site is shared with advertisers, data brokers or analytics companies, and nothing leaves the European Economic Area.

What you can ask of me

You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, ask for a copy, or object to my holding it at all. Email peter@xplrz.nl and I will answer within a month.

If you are not satisfied with how I handle that, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If this statement changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
